Mobile & Manufactured Home Transport

A manufactured home section is wider than a highway lane and travels on its own axles. Every move is a permitted oversize load, so the price depends on width, length, distance and how many escort vehicles each state requires along the route.

What we move

  • Single-wide, double-wide and triple-section homes
  • Dealer-to-site, site-to-site and repossession moves
  • Sections up to 16 ft wide (wider loads reviewed case by case)
  • Escort vehicles and state oversize permits on every route

What we need from you

  • HUD label (certification) number and serial number for each section
  • Proof of ownership, plus any tax certificate your state requires before a home can move
  • Running gear (axles, tires, hitch) in place, or tell us so we can review it
  • A clear, firm path for the toter at pickup and delivery

What sets the price

  • Per-mile rate for each section
  • Escort vehicles by width: wider sections need one or two escorts
  • Permit allowance for each state on the route
  • Fuel surcharge tied to the weekly U.S. diesel average

Rules of the road

Regulations that affect this move

Permits are issued per state

Each state on the route issues its own oversize permit with travel-time limits. We apply for them after you book, so permit costs paid on your behalf are non-refundable once issued.

Ownership paperwork travels with the home

Many states tie the move permit to ownership and tax records. In Texas, for example, the owner must file a new statement of ownership after the home is relocated. We tell you what your states require.

This page is general information, not legal advice. Requirements vary by state and change over time; we confirm what applies to your route when you book.

Questions

How much does it cost to move a mobile home?

Use the calculator for an instant range. The main drivers are distance, number of sections, section width (which sets how many escorts are required) and the number of states crossed. Setup, blocking and utility hookups at the new site are not included in transport.

Do you set up the home at the new site?

We handle transport. Installation (blocking, leveling, tie-downs, marriage line) is done by a licensed installer; we coordinate delivery timing with them.

What deposit is required?

Permitted loads require a deposit when you book, shown on your quote before you pay. The balance is due after delivery.

Other freight
