Terms of service

These terms apply to quotes, bookings and payments made on this website with Ryecroft Freight LLC (“we”, “us”).

1. Quotes

Online prices are calculated from the information you enter: ZIP codes, dates, cargo type, weight and dimensions. A price shown as an estimate or range is not an offer. A price shown as firm becomes binding when you book and pay, as long as the information you entered is accurate. If the actual weight, dimensions or condition differ from what you entered, we re-rate the shipment under our current rates and tell you before we continue.

Prices include linehaul and a fuel surcharge tied to the U.S. Department of Energy weekly diesel average for the week shown on your quote. Charges that can’t be known in advance, such as waiting time, layovers or extra stops, are charged at the rates listed with your quote.

2. Bookings and payment

A booking is confirmed when you accept these terms and we receive the deposit or full payment shown at checkout. Card and bank-account payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. The balance is due after delivery. Bank-transfer bookings are confirmed when the funds arrive.

3. Cancellations and refunds

See our cancellation & refund policy, which is part of these terms.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Describe the cargo accurately, including weight and dimensions.
  • Have the cargo ready, and the pickup and delivery sites safely reachable, in the agreed window.
  • Provide the documents required for your shipment, including ownership and tax documents for manufactured homes.
  • Do not tender hazardous materials. Propane tanks must be new or purged; we do not transport propane or tanks containing it.
  • Have the right to ship the cargo.

5. Carriage and partner carriers

Shipments move on our own trucks or, where we act as broker, on a partner carrier named on your booking. Our bill of lading governs the carriage.

6. Liability for loss or damage

Liability for loss of or damage to cargo in interstate transportation is governed by 49 U.S.C. 14706 and the bill of lading, including the liability limit stated on it. If your cargo is worth more than that limit, choose the declared value option when you book, or insure it yourself. See how cargo liability and declared value work. Claims must be filed in writing within nine months of delivery. We are not liable for delay caused by weather, road or permit restrictions, government action or other events beyond our control.

7. Tracking information

Tracking shows progress by city and an estimated arrival window. Estimates are not guaranteed delivery times.

8. Website use

Don’t misuse the site: no automated scraping of prices, attempts to access other customers’ shipments, or interference with the service. We may block access that looks automated or abusive.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The version you accepted is recorded with your booking and applies to it.
