Price your freight.
Three steps, no account. The price is calculated on our server from the distance, the equipment your cargo needs and this week’s U.S. diesel average, and you can reserve it straight away.
Method
How the price is calculated
Distance. We estimate road miles between the two ZIP codes. Final billed miles follow the actual truck route.
Linehaul. A per-mile rate for the equipment your cargo needs, adjusted for distance: short trips cost more per mile because loading and unloading time is the same for any distance.
Fuel surcharge. Indexed every week to the U.S. Department of Energy’s on-highway diesel average, so the fuel part of your price follows the real cost of diesel.
Cargo-specific items. Escort vehicles and permits for oversize homes, handling for propane tanks, tarping for open-deck loads, seasonal adjustments for produce. Each one appears as its own line.
Firm or estimate. Standard truckloads over 250 miles get a firm price. Specialized loads show a range; oversize or unusual loads are reviewed by our team before booking.
